Why you need to invest in design

Recently I acquired a new client that was having some problems with a project he had just had done. He had done the usual getting quotes from various designers and decided to go with the cheapest as they offered so much for the price. 3 months down the line and he has struggled to get the project completed to what he wants and the designer has disappeared, leaving it in limbo.
Unfortunately for my client, the work done just didn’t work and I have had to start from scratch. This means for him that it ultimately has cost him a lot more than it needed to be. My cost and the designers before me.
Sometimes, going cheap can pay off. It may be a student looking to build his portfolio. This can be beneficial for both parties. But, I would not go full scale big project. They may lack the experience and you will need to do what my client has had to do.
So, if you are looking to get a project done. My advice would be to think about the possible ramifications of getting it done on the cheap. A professional designer, who will cost more but will have more experience, will be able to walk you through every step of the project and deliver a product that ticks all the boxes. This will cost money, but it is not wasted money. it is an investment for your business.
